On the roadside, one can glance over the beautifully decorated earthenware ports, which are called 'Karvas'. These are needed to be fill with water and after offering 'arghaya' to moon, ladies drink it. It is one of the most awaited festival for mehndiwalas as by applying mehendi on palms and feet of ladies they warm up their pockets. Long line of people, on the eve of Karwa Chauth, eagerly waiting for applying henna on their palms show their excitement level towards the festival. Even unmarried girls and small kids, who are away from the rituals of vrat, also can't stop themselves from attracting towards the charm of mehendi.
